Plastic Swirl Process?

Plastic Swirl Process?

Plastic Swirl Process?

(OP)
Here is what I am looking to achieve:
Injection molded bezel that uses a translucent blue
as the base material and has either white or light
blue material swirled into it during the molding
process.  I want the bezel to have depth cosmetically
and look like a flowing river.  I am trying to achieve
a random wavy looking pattern for the bezel.

The pattern I am looking for is like the pattern on
some bowling balls or hair combs.

Please let me know if you know of
the process (co-injection?) and a fabricator.

Thank you for your help.

Macen

RE: Plastic Swirl Process?

I don't think you want co-injection for the look you want to achieve.  You may be better off looking at some options offered by material suppliers to give this effect.  One supplier I know that does custom work like this is LNP - you can call Steve Thompson at 303-438-1407.  This may be a much easier method to achieve the look.  Good luck.

Dave
