Dead weight Location

(OP)
Hi,

I am new to Pipeline Industry. Please, during pipeline hydrotest, where is the dead weight placed? At the low point or high point?
I will appreciate any further explanation of this concept. Thanks

Thanks

RE: Dead weight Location

At any point. The pressure at any elevation can easily be calculated from what the high point and low points are once the elevation is confirmed. The tester is usually at the start or end point of the pipeline section being tested because that's where the test end is and where the people are. The end point could be the high point, the low point or any where in between.

Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.
