Creating Holder Library For NX CAM

Creating Holder Library For NX CAM

(OP)
Hi,

Is there a way to have a library of holders like collet chucks, drill chucks etc in NX CAM (Manufacturing)?

I know I can manually do it when I create a tool.

Trying to get more proficient.

Thank you

John

RE: Creating Holder Library For NX CAM

If you mean the parametric holder that you can define for a mill or drill tool, then yes, there is a holder library. From the holder tab on the tool dialog, there is a button to export the holder to the library (without the tool). Then you can retrieve the holder on any other mill or drill tool. These holders are used for collision avoidance and visualization.

If you mean managing all the components in tool assemblies, then take a look at the Manufacturing Resource Library (MRL) or the Resource Manager in Teamcenter Manufacturing.

Hi Mark,

I was referring to the parametric holder!

Many thanks!

John
