How to define a mortar behavior using connectors?

How to define a mortar behavior using connectors?

(OP)
Hello everyone, I am trying to represent in my model a mortar, using connectors, between a wall and beam (both represented by shell elements). How should I represent this element behavior on abaqus?
I am thinking on this connector element as a spring, with an axial and tangential stiffness. I am considering that the axial behavior of my connector presents stiffness only to compression. When solicited by traction forces I want that the connector present a null stiffness.
I try to represent this behavior with the first graphic of the image. When solicited by an axial force of compression (negative), the connector present a small displacement, due to the stiffness of the connector. When the connector solicited by an axial force of traction (positive), the connecter present zero stiffness, so occur a big displacement. Do you think that this consideration is right? The tangential behavior is represented by the second graphic.

Do you guys have any tips of how should I represent the behavior of the mortar? I am really stuck in this part of my project and I am not finding any solutions. If anyone could give some advices, I would be glad.
