RTJ torque value

RTJ torque value

RTJ torque value

(OP)

HI ALL

Actually I am trying to get torque value for 16" RTJ flange , I tried ASME SEC VIII DIV2 flange calc and I got bolt stress 15700 PSI for operation and 2150 psi for gasket seating

Should I get the sum of these two 15700 + 2150 and go to ASME PCC-1 table 1 and divide this sum by 50 KSI and use this ratio to calc the torque from the table

is this right for getting required torque

thanks
