Multiple Level Gauges on Vessel Bridle
Multiple Level Gauges on Vessel Bridle
(OP)
Please help me demystify the reason why sometimes multiple, smaller level gauges will be used instead of one larger gauge for bridles on oilfield vessels. I am aware of the need for multiple gauges if two liquid phases are present, but this is not what I am talking about.
Is there a standard gauge length that is used (ie 24") instead of ordering a "custom size"
Is there concerns over weight or stability?
I know this is sort of a trivial question but I would like to understand why I see so much variability in level gauge applications.
Thanks
