Assembly colors do not match model colors

Assembly colors do not match model colors

Assembly colors do not match model colors

(OP)
NX 9.0
With in an individual model file I set the color of the model to red. Then add the red part to an assembly and the part is a different color, blue, grey...what ever but not red. In 8.5 I could right click on the part that had the wrong color go to properties and sync the colors. Can't figure out how to do that in 9.0. Please help.
Thanks!

Thank you,
Trent

RE: Assembly colors do not match model colors

First off, make sure that the master part file and the Assembly are using the same CDF (Color Definition File). The color assignment is done by recording an index number corresponding to one of the 216 colors defined in the CDF file. NX only knows this index number, NOT what it's RGB values are.

RE: Assembly colors do not match model colors

Hi Trent,

You can turn off the Specific Component color .. This magically sets the color of the solid at the part level..

Its in the properties dialog box
