Modulus of elasticity of steels at high temperaure

Modulus of elasticity of steels at high temperaure

(OP)
I want modulus of elasticity of different steels (ss410, 9cr 1mo, 17-4 PH) at high temperature(550C). Anybody please provide some references.

Thanks in advance

RE: Modulus of elasticity of steels at high temperaure

ASME Section II, Part D, Table TM-1. The 17-4 PH will be limited to 480 deg C.

RE: Modulus of elasticity of steels at high temperaure

Hi,

For the other two materials:

  • AISI 410: corresponding to European X12Cr13 (W.-Nr. 1.4006), YM = 190 GPa @ 400 °C (limiting value for this steel).
  • P91: 180 and 167 GPa respectively at 500 and 600 °C for the European equivalent X10CrMoVNb9-1 (W.-Nr. 1.4903).
All data coming from standard EN 10088-1.

RE: Modulus of elasticity of steels at high temperaure

From the ASM handbook of High Temperature Property Data
410 at 482C E=158.6GPa (though it isn't smart to take this alloy to this temperature).

Use the ASME Sec II part D tables for the 91.
