Start Directory setting

(OP)
Dear Catia V5 users,

Just a helpful tip for you.

If any user wants to start the catia v5 session in a perticular directory (Normally project directory) then you have to change a setting so that you will start the catia session in same directory.

Go to tools >> options >> general >> documents >> DLname

click on Dlname >> configure >> add

then a path will be added just click on the path and say browse and then set which ever path you like

and then close the session and restart catia

regards

Amit Kulkarni

RE: Start Directory setting

hello,

You can also configure tools >> options >> general >> documents : Other folder option ( use browse to select the one you want)

The best is still to configure an Environment with all those nice settings as an admin...

And put the UserSettings into different location for each environment... Like this you can really have different CATIA environment... You can even add Standards for Drafting, for 3D ( having solide in another color that the default one, surfaces and point using standard of your own)

If anyone is working on that and is using the CATStdLayersAndFilters.xml file, I need some feedback plz.

Have fun,

Eric
