I cannot find definition of terrain factor. I have to use it for point to point microwave link planning. Help me please, if tou have such info.

RE: Terrain Factor???

Hi Vilko

Depending on the model you're using to calculate the losses, the terrain factor is a number which should include the geoclimatic and particular terrain factors that will affect the propagation. It's usually significant in long haul links.
If you can get a hold on the ITU recommendation P.530-7/8 there is a good explanation there.
Also a simpler explanation is at: http://www.wmux.com/company/resource_center/disperse.html
but is closer to Vigant-Barnett model, which I find not very accurate.
