Drag component while editing contsraint
Drag component while editing contsraint
(OP)
Hi,
Is it possible to drag the component while editing the constraint in assembly design mode. For example, when I am editing surface constraint, I want to reconnect the other surface. But, that surface is not available and it is hiding under other component. To select that face, I need to come out from the edit constraint and drag the component outside and again I need to go inside edit constraint and select the face. If I able to drag the component while inside the edit constraint mode, it will be very useful and time saving. Wherever possible, I am using ALT +LEFT MOUSE button for selection filter. So, beyond that, kindly give any other idea.

RE: Drag component while editing contsraint
You can try pressing down arrows while applying constraints and also u can use smart move where u can preselect the parts and apply a permanent constraint bw the parts.Hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply. Kindly explain what is smart move.

I came to know the smart move feature from help manual. I have understood that we can use it for freshly creating the constraints. is it possible to use it for editing the already created constraints.

i have already mentioned to use the down arrows after picking one of the faces to highlight the hidden faces.
