SA-194

SA-194

Hello Everyone,
As per ASME sec8 Div1 can we use SA194 fastners??
Thanks

RE: SA-194

c8829, refer to Sec II, Part D, Table 3. You may use SA-194 nuts with appropriate studs / bolts. SA-194 covers a wide range of metallurgies, as does, for example, SA-193 for studs.

SA-193 B7 / SA-194 2H very common.

Regards,

Mike

Thank Mike.
Table 3 of SEC.II part D not mention anything about SA 194, same with UCS-23.
"SA-193 B7 / SA-194 2H very common." I agree with you 100%
but I got comment from my client(germany) that "check availability of material as per SEC.II part D."

RE: SA-194

c8829, refer your client to UG-13, UCS-11.

Regards,

Mike
