Flue gas analyzer installation

(OP)
Hi,

Does anyone have experience on installing portable flue gas analyzer?
Can we do it while the boiler is running?
The stack temperature is around 250C to 300C.

Thanks

RE: Flue gas analyzer installation

firefastball, are you talking about using a portable flue gas analyzer for permanent use, or just for a basic tune up or emissions testing? For basic testing the meters are usually zero the elements and heat up in ambient air prior to taking readings. Many of the installed analyzers have heaters and other such provision to ensure the sensor has accurate readings.

Depending on the size of a burner or boiler you are trying to analyze there may be requirements where the test is taking place based in US EPA regulations.
