Good day Group,

My name is Christian, I used to work for Siemens PLM Software. (I love NX...smile)
I'm a designer by trade and I'm glad to be part of this group.

I was happy to see John Bakers name is on some threads..
Hi John, we actually worked together in supporting some clients on NX.

I'm running into a task that I've never been asked to do before.
It involves automating a surface creation using a math equation.
And Ideally, defining a UDF to reuse it at will.

I need some help.
The goal is to not have to create curves, and or points.
Just a surface.

Mr, Baker, I think I need your help on this one.
I can send files to explain and would provide my contact information.

Take a look at the SNAP function Snap.Create.BezierPatchFit. You give it the equation, and it gives you back a surface.

What is the equation of your surface (if it's not a secret)?

We're looking at an alternate new way to do this... If you could share the equation, I'd love to use it as we test some things.

Can you share it with us? (Privately, perhaps, if you're not at liberty to broadcast it to the world?)
