I have a beam assembly, i've added forces and constrains, and i have to add a uniform distributed load to check the deformation of the assembly. I can't seem to figure out how to add this distributed load onto the platform.

I have a 500kg/m^2 on the assembly, if i only apply the force on elements wouldn't that be incorect? (the force load will be smaller when i aplly only on element, than when i apply on the surface)

you confused me with talking about beams in your text, but your thread says load over area.

now you're confusing me with talk about elements and surfaces.

how about a pic ?

you should be able to apply a uniform load over elements or areas to suit whatever your requirement is ... ??

why not a simple nodal load (=P/n) ? it looks like you have lots of them !

Hi,

What about using curves to apply a force/area loads and then use the Model/Load/Expand to let Femap automatically assign the nodal loads?

You are showing the elements with cross sections. Do you have the underlying curve associativity? If yes, then use Model - Load - Curve. Many options there to choose from.
