SAP2000 - Creating a pile

(OP)
Hi, I need to create a single pile on SAP2000 for my final project at university, it should look similar to this one:

I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out how to do this.
I have the material properties I need, but I don't know how to create a single pile into the soil.
Can anyone help me?

Thanks

RE: SAP2000 - Creating a pile

hi
you can easily model the piles into soil in SAP2000. you can use frame element as a pile. then you should assign soil properties and its effect on pile. To do this, use the link/support property elements (Define>Section Properties>Link/Support Properties) with the type of Multilinear elastic to model passive effect of soil. you can use it in every directions, x and y. in this way, you can see the soil failure and maximum passive pressure of soil with nonlinear analysis.
