RE: Literarure recommendations

RE: Literarure recommendations

For drag race applications there are standards that address the construction and welding of roll cages. while they closely follow aircraft practices in fitup and joint design the industry standard for 4130 roll cage welds is 70s-2 rod no pre or post heat of joint that is tig only by the way.

The AWS is releasing a new standard that addresses the race car industry`s practices or so ive been told.

For approved tubing O.D. and wall thickness specs. you will need these;

A rule book for the association that the car will run in and this website: http://www.sfifoundation.com/
