Hello,

Currently trying to design (well, check) a girder in SAP2000. It's ~440 inches long, loaded by a number of rafters along its length. The issue I am having is that because of its length, SAP seems to think it has no moment resistance. The analysis is only in the 2D plane of the girder, and I even added restraints at each rafter location that would prevent LTB or anything like that.

If I break the girder up into continuous sections at each load point, THEN it calculates the correct B-major ratios that agree with the hand calculations I have. You can see this in the second file I've attached. Why doe I have to manually break up the member like this in order to get the results I should intuitively get by default?
