How can I export an excel BOM of Attributes of the Component Properties?

RE: Creating an excel BOM from the Attributes of the Component Properties

You can create a Drawing Parts List and then Export that using any one of several common formatting schemes, such as a text file with comma delimited columns, which would then be easy to load into a spreadsheet.

Set up a parts list or the assembly navigator with the information that you need, then you can right click on it and use "export to spreadsheet".

Please note that you can now edit (as well as delete), for a period of 24 hours, any of your OWN posts, so you could have gone back and added your missing attachment. After posting a response and you discover something that you wish to correct, just look for the 'Edit' and 'Delete' options in the lower Right corner of your post, as shown below:

Note that this is a new feature added to Eng-Tips in the past week or so. But note that there will be a 'paper trail' showing what it is that you edited so you can't use this tool to 'rewrite history' as it were.

There is another way, you may call it 'quick and dirty'. I am not in front of my NX at the moment and can't give you the detailed description, but basically you can add custom columns to the Assembly Navigator that would show the needed attributes, and then right-ckick the header bad of the Assembly Navigator and choose 'Export to Spreadsheet'.

PrintScaffold - Thanks for the info. This will work for our needs.

RE: Creating an excel BOM from the Attributes of the Component Properties

I'm not aware of an explicit option to Export the contents of the Parts List note to a Spreadsheet. Rather the Export option is as I described it in my first response in this thread on 7 May.
