New to NX drafting

Hi just moved to NX8.5 from solid edge ST7 (company choice)
Is it possible to draw or have views outside the drawing border and still be visible?
In SE, the page size can be set to A1 but the you could place a top view outside of this then add your section lines, then add a section view and have these inside the border so only your section views printable.

thanks

RE: New to NX drafting

Hello,

views outside the drawing border won't be visible in NX Drawing.
But only your section views can be printable.

Thanks,
Mathi K

Yes, the views outside the drawing border will still be visible and you can add a cutting plane (section) line to it and show only the projected view on the drawing, and only the views inside the drawing border will be printed.
You must initially have the view that you want outside the border inside of it, then create your sectioned view based on that view, then manually move it outside the drawing.

Hi jerry1423
when I move the view out of the border it disappears? how can I stop this?

RE: New to NX drafting

I am on NX7.5 and what worked for me is to zoom out using my Spaceball and I was able to see it.
Doing a Fit won't work as it fits to the drawing border
