3.3kV Generator Grounding

3.3kV Generator Grounding

3.3kV Generator Grounding

(OP)
In our Project we have On-site Power Generation with no "State Grid" Connection.

Power source is 2 nos. of 3.3kV Diesel Generators operating in parallel and 3rd 3.3kV Generator is connected but on standby mode.

My questuion is how Grounding is to be done for 3.3kV Generators oerating in parallel.

Also any International Standard that can be followed.

RE: 3.3kV Generator Grounding

See, for instance : BS7430 Code of practice for Earthing
ch. 18.2.3 Generators which can operate independently of an incoming supply.

RE: 3.3kV Generator Grounding

If you have the same generator size, it is allowed to make a Common Grounding Point because it is easy to applying selective relaying. Actually you can refer to IEEE 142 and ANSI C37.102
