CF8M

(OP)
Hi,

I wonder if the A351 Gr CF8M, working temperature below the sensitization range, must receive heat treatment solubilization, or this heat treatment is mandatory only for work at high temperatures.
someone help me in this response?

Tks

RE: CF8M

After casting it should be solution treated.
If in processing you re-heat it, but stay below sensitization then there is no reason to re-anneal.
Keep in mind that based on chemistry and how good the first anneal was you may start getting sensitization at 600F.
