Yield strength of 1"x1" x 1/16 diameter steel wire mesh

Yield strength of 1"x1" x 1/16 diameter steel wire mesh

How can I find the yield strength of 1" x 1" x 1/16" diameter steel mesh? Does anyone know the manufacturer of this? recently I have used it for nominal reinforcing of the skin area of beam repair concrete, but now I have a project where I am considering using it structurally (to wrap around existing dry laid concrete block piers) by wrapping it around the pier faces and parging over with say a 1.5" thick grout repair material.

RE: Yield strength of 1"x1" x 1/16 diameter steel wire mesh

Are you referring to welded wire reinforcement or some other type of mesh? If it is ASTM A185, then W1.2 and over has a yield strength of 75 ksi and under W1.2 has a yield strength of 70 ksi per the Manual of Standard Practice for the Wire Reinforcement Institute. If it is not WWR, then you'll have to try and find out from the manufacturer/supplier. Why not use FRP to strengthen? It's much easier to work with, but I guess it may be a little more expensive.
