Replace component by control assembly level

Replace component by control assembly level

Replace component by control assembly level

(OP)
Hi,
Is it possible to replace the component in top assembly level only. My problem is for example, if I want to replace M20 bolt in the top assembly level, when I give replace all, it changes the bolts inside the children ( second and third level). If I give ‘No’, that particular instance only got changed. If I have 20 bolts in different places without pattern option, then I need to do this 20 times. So, if we have any control over first level or second level only it need to be replace the part, it will very helpful. Please suggest any solution.

RE: Replace component by control assembly level

Hi,
Could you please provide the product structure? how the assembly is happening?

Hi,
In the main assembly level, around five products(sub-assemblies) will be there. To connect that, we are using bolts and nuts. That same size bolts would be used in sub-assemblies also. If we replace all, the bolts in the sub-assemblies will also be changed. If give ‘no’ , that one instance only will be replaced. I need all the 10 bolts in the first assembly level to be replaced.
