Integral Seat for Globe Valves

Integral Seat for Globe Valves

(OP)
Hi all,
I have got a doubt regarding Seat arrangement of Globe Control valves. Customer is requesting for a integral Seat assembly. But all my valves are Threaded Seat. As per my knowledge integral seat meant there should not be separate seat assembly, seat area should be machined from valve body itself. Is my understanding correct? Can somebody explain me this seat assembly concept.?

RE: Integral Seat for Globe Valves

Hi!

You got it right!

General, rough explanation can be found on internet, as an example http://www.wermac.org/valves/valves_globe-valves_l....

For more detailed explanation and checking for your special purpose more info is necessary.

RE: Integral Seat for Globe Valves

Integral seat means machined from the body itself. Otherwise, different material seats can also be brazed inside the body.
