Jobs

Hobbies? Comes down to timing.

Hobbies? Comes down to timing.

My hobbies depend on the time of year here in New England.
Some, like the shooting sports ( Skeet, IDPA/USPSA, etc. ) are year-round, but definitely more fun without the subzero temps.
The juggling, dog training and hiking are MUCH more enjoyable when the temps are over 70, and I am happy up to the 90's..........my wife, not so much.

I didn't see any of the above listed; anyone else here appreciate the same activities?

RE: Hobbies? Comes down to timing.

GyJuggler,

I thoroughly enjoy hiking when temperatures are below 90°C. In fact, I like it below 30°C!

Sounds like snowshoe or X-country skiing is right up your alley.

RE: Hobbies? Comes down to timing.

Rowing and origami are my drug of choice.
Both year-round activities.
I enjoy hiking as well, but usually only make the effort to go hiking when I'm on holiday.
In July I went hiking in Sri Lanka and in August, Ireland.
Sri Lanka was a little too hot for my taste but the things you get to see, make it worth while.
Ireland was wet, cold but beautiful, as expected :)
Any good hiking trails in New England?

RE: Hobbies? Comes down to timing.

Volunteering on the Kee www.sskeewatin.com is pretty well the only hobby I have time for.

BTW the OP and first responder drawoh seem to have completely ignored their Celcius / Fahrenheit dichotomy wink

RE: Hobbies? Comes down to timing.

crshears,

Are you suggesting that you would enjoy hiking at 90°C?

RE: Hobbies? Comes down to timing.

I thought drawoh's response was specifically addressing the dichotomy, hence the reference to "below 30°C."

Yep, got me there. I originally thought I was getting tweaked for not being more specific........the thought of doing ANYTHING at 194 F didn't even occur to me. banghead
Then again, one more day over 90 ( F ) and we are looking to break some records here in the North East thumbsup
