UG/NX 8.5 Tool Balancing

UG/NX 8.5 Tool Balancing

UG/NX 8.5 Tool Balancing

(OP)
Hi all,

I am fairly new to NX but i cam upon a small project that i am working on and need some help.

1. Any way for me to balance a tool in NX.

2. I need to make two holes approximately 180 degrees from each other. Please see attachment?

3. When i say 180 degrees it would mean the balancing would be exact at 180 but this is usually not the case?

Any ideas?

RE: UG/NX 8.5 Tool Balancing

You could do it manually by checking the mass properties of the solid, and adjusting the hole diameters or depths until the center of mass is on the centerline.
I'm sure a clever CAD user (I'm a CAM guy) could use expressions from the mass properties to drive the hole dimensions.
