Difference Between MAWP and MEAWP

Difference Between MAWP and MEAWP

Difference Between MAWP and MEAWP

(OP)
Whats a Difference Between MAWP and MEAWP, i ve got in PV Eng Software .

RE: Difference Between MAWP and MEAWP

It would help if you spelt out what you think MEAWP stands for as I haven't heard it before and can't find it in any definitions list....

RE: Difference Between MAWP and MEAWP

MAWP=Manufactures Allowable Working Pressure / MEAWP=Manufactures External Working Pressure. Sometimes you may see MAEWP. This is my interpretation. I could be wrong.

RE: Difference Between MAWP and MEAWP

OK,

It's Maximum Allowable Working Pressure and Maximum Allowable External Working Pressure, ( not "manufacturers...")

Apparently in the latest (2013) code changes it is now just MAWP and is stated as internal or external pressure.

• UG-116 Required Marking
Deleted the term “maximum allowable external working pressure (MAEWP)”
Clarified that “maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP)” can be either
an internal or external pressure

So in your question, MAWP is the maximum internal pressure allowed, MAEWP is the maximum external pressure allowed.

does this make sense?
