TDH for Vertical Turbine Pump

TDH for Vertical Turbine Pump

TDH for Vertical Turbine Pump

(OP)
When you specify a TDH for Vertical Turbine Pump (or provide TDH info to manufacturer), should it include the column and pump discharge head headlosses too OR the TDH should be at the discharge head connection and the manufacturer will add the losses from discharge head to pump bowl as pump internal losses? Which is true?

RE: TDH for Vertical Turbine Pump

Normally you specify what you need in terms of flow and head at the discharge flange noting what is the max and minimum height above inlet and let the vendor worry about all the internal stuff.
