Problem creating a steel transmission pole

Problem creating a steel transmission pole

Problem creating a steel transmission pole

(OP)
Hello,

I am modelling a steel transmission pole in solid works to analyze some holes we have to do at grounding level.
I try to create de pole from a sketch of 2 octagons and then extrude but I can’t get it. I create doing first and extrude from de octagon and then make a new sketch and make a cut-extrude. With this I create de geometry but when I go to analyze de pole, SolidWorks miss creating the mesh.

Could anyone help me? It was a long time not using SW. Please find attached my file.

Thanks

RE: Problem creating a steel transmission pole

This doesn't sound like an issue with the model, but more an issue with how you're setting up your analysis? I don't have experience with SW Simulation but the model looks to be a solid body which should allow for mesh convergence...
