ASCE 7-10 Open Buildings - Wind Loading / Free Roofs

(OP)
Hello all,

I have a typical gas-station type canopy with a 15 degree gable roof. Matches up well with Figure 27.4-5 except there is a soffit/ceiling (not accounted for in the diagram).

I am trying to determine the additional loading that this ceiling should receive. While it's still an Open Building, this ceiling should create both an internal and external upward pressure.

Please provide any thoughts on determining this. It was my intent to assign the top chord loading
based on the diagram/table values given, and then at the ceiling, add a uniform vertical load equal to the base horizontal pressure as in the manner overhangs are handled. But it seems I may be doubling up the loads this way.

Thank you in advance.
