Hi,

I am a FEMAP user in the past, and I am used of using point masses / distributed masses in the following manner:

I create a point, then I create a mass element on this point and give it the properties needed (i.e - mass), I then connect the point / mass element to the required geometry (surface, line etc.) using rigid elements (RBE2, RBE3).
I looked for rigid connections and couldnt find them, but I did find "distributed mass" and "point mass" and tried to use them by applying them to the surface I need the mass to be attached to.
The problem is that I didnt see any impact on the deformation results with or without the mass added (and I added a considerable mass in order to be sure that there is an impact on the results) and I also didnt see the "spider" element I am used to see that connects the mass element to the other elements.

Could you please explain what am I doing wrong? I couldnt find anything on the ANSYS help (I guess I dont know what I should look for...)
P.S - I am using WB and still not familiar with APDL.
