Help in Adaptive Mesh Refinement

Help in Adaptive Mesh Refinement

(OP)
Hi,

I have made simulations in forming processes and because the elements have a lot of distortion the program stops because mesh is to distorted, i do a remesh, but because some time the elements are just two or three i think that create a new mesh is a waste of time. I'm seeking a routine or a .exe program which can positioning just the nodes that are distorted.

I think that Adaptive Mesh Refinement may resolve the problem but i cant find some opensources which can do this work.

I just need a reposition of nodes coordinates to a best way that the mesh appears with a better looking.

Anyone knows any programs or routines that can make anode reposition?

Thanks

RE: Help in Adaptive Mesh Refinement

Abaqus has built in methods for adaptive meshing. Have you tried these? Search the Users Manual for ALE to get more informations.
