Low temperature ASME VIII

(OP)
Hi,

I would appreciate your help on ASME VIII Div 1:

The scenario is: Carbon steel vessel with thickness of 60 mm and a minimum T of - 70°C during depressurization. Based on ASME VIII Div 1 UCS-66 is possible an exemption of impact test because the stress ratio is lower than 0.35.
Is the exemption applicable also to the weld metal?

Thanks in advance
Regards
V.

RE: Low temperature ASME VIII

Yes, review UCS-66.

RE: Low temperature ASME VIII

Is this stress ratio based on vessel at MAWP ( without taking credit for corrosion allowance) or depressurisation final pressure?
