Solid solution alloying vs precipitation hardening
Solid solution alloying vs precipitation hardening
(OP)
Hi all, can anyone please tell me what is the basic difference between solid solution alloying and precipitation hardening? Which and these methods can be used for strengthening of various commonly used materials like low carbon steels, austenitic stainless steels and 2000 series of aluminium?
