What do you fell is safer in racking in a 15HK500 bkr.
1. Control power fuses in and door shut, racking Bkr all the way to connect.mind you springs charge when you reach test. Or
2. Racking breaker in with fuses out and after reaching connect, open door and install control power fuses. Springs charge when fuses installed.

Most HK's will have a motor disconnect switch, I would turn that off before racking. The best answer is to use remote racking.

Concur with Zog these days. that said, I always pulled the 'close' fuses before racking.
