Adding routing stock as a part in assembly

Adding routing stock as a part in assembly

Adding routing stock as a part in assembly

(OP)
Hello,

I am using NX 8.5, where I want the routing stock (piping, tubing) to be in the assembly navigator. So that it is visible in 'part list' in the drafting application.
Right now the piping and tubing has been added from 'routing->mechanical' and it is not a part of the assembly.
How can I make it a part of the assembly?

RE: Adding routing stock as a part in assembly

Hello,

Create a New Component and Select the Sweep.
Then it is part of the assembly.

Thanks,
Mathi K

RE: Adding routing stock as a part in assembly

Hi,

In Customer Defaults there is a setting that creates stock as components.

Search for "Stock as components" in Customer Defaults.

RE: Adding routing stock as a part in assembly

By default NX Routing creates pipes etc ( Routing geometry) as features and not as components.
Because of this there is a special Routing Parts list, which reports both regular components and routing features.

Regards,
Tomas
