I'm trying to save an animation out of Risa3D, I can't believe the software does not have a feature for this. Anyone every try Camtasia for this?

RE: Camtasia

I used Camtasia once to capture animated deflected shape. If I recall, the free trial leaves a watermark in the video? It worked OK for what I needed though.

I've also played around with capturing multiple screenshots and creating an animated GIF. It works well since the GIF doesn't require a media player.

Just tried the free Camtasia trial, check it out here:

Really slick piece of software, I might even buy it for $299. It has a feature for dumping straight into YouTube.

RE: Camtasia

FYI.... Animation movie creation has just been added to the program. It was supposed to be in the version 13 release, but didn't quite make the cut. But, the 13.0.1 release (which is due to be released shortly) has it.

That would be a very handy feature to have. Thank-you for the info Josh. I am really liking the Camtasia auto-upload to youtube though, that is a very nice feature.

RE: Camtasia

Their snagit tool will do all you need unless you want to edit. We have the Camtasia, but most of the time we use snagit. There are free video tools at CNET, but those load extra hidden things and want to be updated constantly.
