Just wondering what is better the original or the mold.v1 any comments pros and cons would be greatly welcome.

RE: Moldwizard What's better when initializing projects (Original VS. Mold.V1) NX9

Moldv.1 is much better
In Original we have problem with modification scale and position body, without parting surface fault (when we already have parting surface).

I am doing my first project in Mold.v1 and I have a few questions, regarding the CSYS from original to v1 first off when you go through moldwizard in the original and orientate the CSYS and go to parting the CSYS and part reflect what you wanted, now in V1 in parting it does not it looks like it stay in what I can tell customer orientation, why is that?

RE: Moldwizard What's better when initializing projects (Original VS. Mold.V1) NX9

In mold.v1 NX reposition patring_set (during change mold CSYS).
In parting we have WCS in the same position as original parts.
In parting You have mold CSYS on layer (100).

So your telling me you have to develop a parting line on a part that could be on several angles out in space, I do some very complicated parts and that seems that it would be very difficult to do vs using the original configuration.

RE: Moldwizard What's better when initializing projects (Original VS. Mold.V1) NX9

I work using this configuration 6 years and is really good. Maybe is not comfortable when we create parting surface in moldv1. But in the next step is easiest way to changing hight parting surface.
Ok! Please create parting surface in original. Then tray to change position model in Z,X,Y direction. Parting surface propobly give You error

Yeah I know what your talking about the original, I developed a way to make it easier to change position of the csys in the original with no errors, and that is to tie nothing to it. What version of UG did you start on? I started on UG18 just before it was turned into NX.

Have you developed any custom libraries for Moldwizard?

RE: Moldwizard What's better when initializing projects (Original VS. Mold.V1) NX9

Yes I have developed custom libraries fo MoldWizard. I have mold base (mold base contain: ejector rod, sprue pullers bushings, locating rings, leader pins, feet etc.) , standard parts and slider ( slider contain: dowel pin, screw, slide lock etc).
