thread561-311671: NX7.5 Tolerance grade in dimension

Hello Everyone,

Me too facing same problem as the Original Post, i.e. I am unable to give Limits and Fits Dimension in my drawing (using NX 7.5). I am also unable to open the image which John has posted (may be because the thread is closed). John could you please repost the image you had posted earlier in reply to the query.

Thanks & Regards.

Hello John,

Thank You very much for reposting the image. I am able to see it now. Please find attached image of the scenario at my end. I am just not able to activate the Limits and Fits dimension command. Is there any other way of activating this command? I am not able to understand where I am going wrong.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Limits & Fits Dimensions (NX 7.5)

I suspect that you're working in Imperial Units (Inches), correct? If so, You need to be using the 'ASME(Shipped)' version of the Drafting standard. What you need to do is go to...

Tools -> Drafting Standard...

...and check that it's the 'ASME(Shipped)' version. And even if it shows 'ASME(Shipped)', you still need to hit the OK button before it's actually applied.

Thanks a lot John. You got it right. I changed the units to 'ASME(Shipped)' and now it is working fine. I appreciate your help.
