NX9 CAM - Different feed rates in G code

NX9 CAM - Different feed rates in G code

NX9 CAM - Different feed rates in G code

(OP)
Hey all,

I am currently exploring NXCAM and I have a small discrepancy between my setup and the G generated code.

Example: Spot drill operation, tool diameter=3.15mm, surface speed=35m/s, feed per tooth=0.125mm, 2 teeth, sprindle speed=3537rpm, cut feed rate=884.25mm/min.
Now in the post-processed G code, the drilling cycle is initiated with N0060 G82 Z-.9449 R-1.1024 F34.8 M08.

I don't see any relationship between the parameters of my operation and the feed rate in the code. Can anyonehelp me along here?

Thanks a lot!

RE: NX9 CAM - Different feed rates in G code

Your post is set to output in inches, not metric.
884.25mm/25.4=34.8in

Hey looslib, thank you for your reply. I forgot to include the second example, sorry... I already thought of wrong units but another example in the same programm is:

Floor milling, tool diameter=116mm, surface speed=110m/s, feed per tooth=0.05mm, 4 teeth, sprindle speed=302rpm, cut feed rate=60.4mm/min.
In the G code, I get a feed rate of 90.6, which is a totally different ratio that the feed rates in the first example...

RE: NX9 CAM - Different feed rates in G code

In your second example is the feed output in G94 ( units per minute ) or G93 (Inverse Time) ?
Can you post an example of the code?
