Center constraint error issue

Center constraint error issue

Center constraint error issue

(OP)
Hello all,
Using NX 8.5 and I bring in 2 parts, one male and one female, both rectangular profile. When I try to use the Center Constraint using 2 to 2 it will allow me to center one part to the other horizontally but when I do the same for the vertical I get this status: "This constraint cannot solve. Either it references a component that has been deleted or suppressed, or it references geometry that has been deleted suppressed or is now of the wrong type"

Anyone have any idea of how to resolve this?

Thanks,
John

RE: Center constraint error issue

If the parts are both Components in an Assembly and that's all, it should work just fine.

Attached is a simple Assembly of something like you described. I created this model in NX 8.5.3.3 and it seems to work fine.

RE: Center constraint error issue

Without actually having a look at the models themselves, there's not much more that I can suggest.
