NX9 Drafting (Snap to Grid Issue)

NX9 Drafting (Snap to Grid Issue)

NX9 Drafting (Snap to Grid Issue)

(OP)
Preferences - Grid - Snap to Grid
Rectangular Uniform
Major Grid Spacing 0.125
Minor Lines 1
Snap points per Minor 1

Am I doing something wrong? This feature seems to only work properly on horizontal dimensions. The snap itself still works on vertical dimensions but doesn't comply to the spacing I have set. I have tried 0.0625, .25, and .5 but it seems to be locked at 1" spacing. pc

RE: NX9 Drafting (Snap to Grid Issue)

The dimension text likes to snap to the center position (centered between the extension lines). If you hold down the Alt key while placing the dimension it will eliminate the "snap to center" behavior.

Also make note of the text "anchor" option when creating/placing a dimension as this will affect how the dimension snaps to the grid.
