API610 material for casing

API610 material for casing

API610 material for casing

For low temperature pump applications such as -29dC and below selected material shall meet the minimum charpy v noch impact energy requirements.
My question is what is the energy for chromium cast steel eg. A217 Gr CA15 (European std.GX8CrNi12). Examination in zero temperatures have given us the result 12J. It is corect?
What I have to assuming for designing casing pump working in low temperature? thickness??

Any helpful answers.
Help.

RE: API610 material for casing

Do you have any engineering specification or standard (https://www.standard.no/en/sectors/energi-og-klima...) that specifies the minimum impact energy? If you have no such standard or specification, one can use a pressure vessel code and establish a minimum using that required for pressure vessels in low temperature service.

Continuing. My question was referring to the requirements of ASME and API610. API610 refers to ASME VIII if we have low temperatures. I have not found any requirements for martensitic cast steels for example GX8CrNi12 (according to the European stendardów and recommended by API610 for pressure casings). What ASME sets for this type of cast steels it comes to Imact Test.
I found only for carbon steels and austenitic stainless steel
