HI all
I know this get asked all the time why and how but

how do i go about fixing this
what is the first thing i look into
does it have a specific origin like coding or assembly
just how do i start in the process of fixing this..

Hi drkc01, I was having the same problem here. In my case, the problem occur because the directory where the file is save presented some characters that abaqus can't recognize, such as " ´ ~ -
Try to see if the path of your folder where your file is save present one of this characters. You can do a test: Copy you file to a new folder in desktop, do not use any character that abaqus can't reconigze to name the folder. Then run your analysis and see if it works.
I hope you can solve your problem with this tip.

tried it .. did not work..thanks for the tip though..any other suggestions..

.msg and .dat has no errors reported and no .sta file to be found..anyone else have an idea?
