Cutting Templates for Tangential Connections

Cutting Templates for Tangential Connections

Cutting Templates for Tangential Connections

(OP)
I'm putting together a fabrication package for my GasBuster and in talking to some welders the most difficult part of making it is the tangential 2 on 16 inlet nozzle. Apparently the template is never as spot on as one would hope. I'd like to include cutting templates for the pipe end and the barrel in the fabrication package. Anyone have a link to somewhere that I can purchase such a template that I can import into AutoCad?

RE: Cutting Templates for Tangential Connections

Rhinoceros does a beautiful job of unrolling sheetmetal developments, is easy to learn, is inexpensive, and is very fast and intuitive at constructing 3D models.

Be sure to include a dimension in the DXF or DWG you export from Rhino; otherwise the scale comes in wrong.

(
When you have a 3D model on the rhino screen,
type the command 'turntable'
and watch what happens.
Okay, it used to be cool.
