Good Geotech firm for dynamic loading?

Good Geotech firm for dynamic loading?

I don't know if this is permissible (but I do see people recommend other vendors here).....but can anyone recommend a good geotech outfit when you are dealing with dynamic loading (i.e. coming up with dynamic spring constants, settlement under dynamic loading, dynamic bearing capacity, liquefaction potential, etc)? I was talking to a friend earlier today and he asked me for one and I really couldn't name a good one as the last few I've worked with were just terrible in this area. Anyone know of a few (I wouldn't mind keeping a short list for myself).....preferably based in the southeast (or can go to it)? Thanks.

RE: Good Geotech firm for dynamic loading?

I'd go to ASCE headquarters and see if you can get a roster of members to various specialty groups. Chances are the chairmen of such groups would be able to offer some names which of course you would then have to research their capabilities.

Golder or Amec....both have major offices in Atlanta.....or contact Paul Mayne, Professor at Georgia Tech...a geotech guru!

I wouldn't call AMEC to mow my lawn. I'll look up these Golder folks....thanks for the info.
