Dimensioning/tolerancing question

Dimensioning/tolerancing question

Dimensioning/tolerancing question

(OP)
I am trying to interpret a drawing done in French. My question is regarding the following:

= 70 =
<------------------------------>

I've never seen a dimension presented like this and could use some help. What do the equals signs signify?

This type of dimension is given both between screw hole centers, and also from edge to edge of the part.
General tolerances Js13.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Dimensioning/tolerancing question

Hi

The equal signs mean equally spaced about some feature or centerline

RE: Dimensioning/tolerancing question

In Italy we used this system to say : same size on left and on right

All of the suggestions make sense in the context of my drawing. Thanks again!

RE: Dimensioning/tolerancing question

Does the drawing reference any ISO or ANSI GDT standard down in the title block?
