Dear Experts

How can we identify if the valve is soft seated or metal seated.

Thanks

RE: Soft seat ball valves

hi

its regarding the seat matrial, usually soft seated valves have polymer material for seat but its cant stand with high temperatures so you cant use metal seat in like this situations .

that simply explanation

RE: Soft seat ball valves

I'd look for a nameplate and then consult a manufacturer, vendor, or manufacturer's website.

RE: Soft seat ball valves

From the outside very difficult.

You normally need the data sheet or valve serial no or tag no and vendors data as supplied.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

You have already got the answers that is possible to give based on the form of your question. If you, however, have a spsecific situation where you have to check sealings on a certain ball-valve, you might get better advice if you open up and describe more details,- as LittleInch tries to tell you in his sub-text.
