PH 2.5 -3 Election of appropiate stainless steel

Hi everybody,
which kind of stainless family you would use for an environment between PH 2,5 and PH 3. I am interested to knnow which family is the most appropiate only in term of corrosion resistant.

thanks in advance

RE: PH 2.5 -3 Election of appropiate stainless steel

With what environment?
The most critical will be the temperature and chloride content.
The pH alone is not relevant information.

the temperature is about 20º Celsius.
there is some material with HCl at 1%.
thanks.

RE: PH 2.5 -3 Election of appropiate stainless steel

Hold on, 1% HCl has a pH =0.5, not 2.5

Any of the 6%Mo superaustenitic grades will work for 1% HCl at less than 40C.
